I've been building my own JSX pipeline. It's still a baby pipeline but it compiles JSX → Web Components and supports server components.

One of the most fun challenges I've taken on outside of MFEs. Also, not having any framework runtimes or prod dependencies just feels great!

Any idiot can build software. It takes a REAL engineer to scale out an ansericulture platform to 64 g/day (p95) & ≤+0.1 FCR drift across 12-week growouts on a rotational pasture fabric w/federated bioclustering, supplemental 4R nutrient stewardship, microclimate integration, and transgenic stacking.

Diagramming today as I nerd out on token layers in design systems for my next blog post. Every model treats tokens like subatomic design particles. You'd think if the whole idea is user experience they'd be built around how human minds actually work, so I made one that is!

It is structured as a vertical flow with three layers labeled “observation,” “sensation,” and “realization.” At the bottom is a red circle labeled “Stimuli” (#B82033FF), representing raw visual data. Arrows point upward to the middle layer labeled “Signals” ($red-500), and from there to two composite tokens: “Qualia” ($primary-color) and “Noemata” ($button-color). Arrows also lead to “Strata” ($app-background-color) at the top. Labels on the sides define the roles of each token: Stimuli: Raw color data. Signals: Simple tokens transmitting discrete design information. Qualia: Composite tokens representing subjective consciousness. Noemata: Component tokens as repeatable attributes of an experience. Simplify your stateful routing with this useQueryParam() hook which works like useState(). Given a URL query param name, it defaults to the param value or undefined. Swap out navigate() for replace() to preserve browsing history!
