Don't know, but a lot of them come to Duxford. Though tbf my airfix modelling days are long past, and not sure I can reliably tell my Spitfires from my Hurricanes these days - we get them too, same vibe.

Ha, try living near a large museum airfield - they're everywhere including pictures in the school, when not actually flying overhead.

What's with the weird font that uses a lower case i amongst the capitals? Was the font intended for Turkish where i and ı are different letters?

Woke! Globalist! This is right-wing buzz word bingo.

I read it as a deliberate attempt to break cultural ties, and funnel the next generation into a narrow 'anglosphere' future where they wouldn't have to deal with 'real' foreigners.

Glasheen looked like a man being forced to regurgitate a narrative that he knew was nonsense.

..and to age. More of us are living longer with the infirmities that that brings, and many pensioners are quite affluent and can afford foreign holidays.

Oh dear, someone in the design or development team has got very confused between language and country settings. Sheer incompetence.

Overt racism was rare at my school, maybe as we were 99% white. Some of the bullying was mob behaviour, following the strongest, but all involved picking on the weak or different. The lead bullies shared a quick aggression to any challenge and enjoyed their domination. I see these traits in Farage.

I was at a boys' grammar in the 70s, and witnessed occasional instances of extreme bullying. It would have been out of sight of the teachers and other pupils would not have 'snitched'. And due to the aggressive, domineering character of the bully, likely that his peers were scared to cross him.

With Farage's schoolday revelations it is not only the racism that is troubling but the bullying as a central character trait, the delight in domination and intimidation, and absolute confidence in his own right to power over others. These too seem to be features that have never left him.

Exactly this. Outside the tiny finance/corporate law elite few career starters meet the minimum salary threshold, and this rule expels any young Brit with a non-UK partner from their own country. It was a disgusting piece of late Tory legislation. How naive I was to hope Labour would be better.

I had that reaction to Grease when it came out, and it took a while till I worked out that this weird institute for young adults was supposed to be a high school.

Something tells me 'Your Party' (or whatever grown-up name they eventually choose) are not going anywhere.

Ah yes, that'll be Liz 'against the global elites' Truss

School bully grows up to be a thug. Surprise.

Can we abolish directly elected regional mayors too while we're at it? I already vote in local elections and have no need for another tier that may be at odds with the existing ones. And no-one ever asked for them.

Those were the satellite states, when it became clear that the imperial centre wouldn't step in to save them. The case in Russia/USSR was far messier.

Amongst other things, it looks like a calculated insult to the British government.

I started to read that as "cars glued by Priti Patel". Wouldn't put it past her.

'athwart' was new to me. Too long for Wordle but I will retain it for Scrabble.

There is some competition. The US declaring economic war on its trading partners and breaking the alliances and agreements that have served it so well for 80 years comes to mind.
