Yes, he actually said it about 8 times. It was all he was prepared (or told) to say in response to numerous questions regarding Trump. That was his one line, and he stuck to it admirably. I assume he was scared that any other response could be deleterious to the "special relationship".

Fair play, I defer to your logic on that! I was more meaning altitudinally given that most parts of the north are higher than London, and also the perceived norm that North = up and south = down.

On a similar note... why do people say they're going "down to" places further north? From a cartographic and geographic view it should surely be "up to"?
