I am now SO over there…so now I am over here…
Simple, Sark’s Captain got the munchies and wanted a drink in the local…taverna?

Spend 5mins on Fox and you’ll see. And that is tame compared with other outlets.

Thank you for that. One lunchtime Wikipedia deep dive later and I am now even more astonished at what the USN lost in ASW equipment in the last 3 decades. Dedicated ASW frigates, ASW drones, ASROC, etc.
A better ASW ship than a USCG cutter derivative?

Photo 3…is that from a NATO ship? If so, wow - that must have been a story!

Amazing!
Here is our Scout Troop’s efforts from a few years ago. Memory says it flung an “angry bird” 60m.

Excellent, excellent. Love this: “Indeed, democracy itself is treated as an obstacle to be overcome, not a set of rules to be carefully followed and safeguarded.” and this: “…a strategy of containment directed at the administration of a once great democracy now repurposed to service one man’s ego.”

Um, am I the only one who unpinned / hid the Discover feed?!
Life is so much better now…

Excellent read (ex SSN engineer here)! Whilst I did feel slightly sorry for Noah given his conclusion after all that work, proving a negative is still of value.

Ah, design inspiration finally uncovered!

They’re not saying that. They’re saying European nations provide nuclear warheads to European countries.
Nothing to do with the US or Trump.

This cannot be real? Surely…
January 19, 2026 at 6:34 AM
Awesome thread Sir Humph!
January 18, 2026 at 7:00 PM
Well, I’d include lots of sleep. Sitting in the mess square talking shit. Moaning about the officers. Looking forward to the next run ashore. Swapping several cards a day for shots & giggles. Polishing a flat…

So, Is Averof underway here, or has she been towed out and cast off for the photo?
If underway, have they got her own power plant operational again? Wow, if so!

Reading all that makes me think of poor @covertshores.bsky.social tracking Ukraine’s various UxV developments…

That GIGANANORMOUS water slide looks fun though. Imagine walking around the rest of the day in wet wool. Proper Yorkshire stuff.
January 10, 2026 at 4:42 AM
Does that mean that someone has bent B turret’s port side 6” gun in real life too?! 😉
January 2, 2026 at 4:56 PM
Perfect juxtaposition with my next post
January 2, 2026 at 3:22 PM
Ah! Problem solved!
January 2, 2026 at 3:16 PM
Aka, “the noisemaker”?
Surely they can do better than that…
January 2, 2026 at 10:15 AM
Phwoar…looks filthy to me!
December 16, 2025 at 8:41 AM
Are Ukraine &/or Russia using them? If not, why not?
Endures in training is irrelevant TD - there is nothing like real combat experience to (re)prove, or disprove equipment.

I assume also because filling a tank with water that is designed to be filled with oil won’t achieve much, but flooding the engine room will.

Interesting they are procuring their own as opposed to buying into NATO’s?
But good news for NATO Baltic sub ops.
