Yes, surely that’s the best way to commemorate someone and serve the public good! But you know it’s going to be some kind of fountain or totem.

It’s not really about the architecture though is it. M&S is a premium British brand and Oxford St has got to be the most famous shopping area in the country. The campaigners made this all about setting a precedent but it’s gone the wrong way now…
