A snapshot of an abandoned hummingbird nest in our yard, I think most likely given up on because the tree it was in doesn't offer much protection from what can, at times, be quite wicked winds that blow through here.

Returning to days now long gone, this is our old kitty, Mothra, in the full flight of play with a feather-stick toy. She remained playful, all the way from her kittenhood through to her final day with us.

Shadows and light from the solar eclipse this morning. We're not under the main path, but you can see from the shape of the light how much of the sun was obscured.
