Some say it's time to treat ultra-processed foods (chips, frozen pizza, sugary cereal) like tobacco.

They want big warning labels on these foods.

"Breakfast is the most important meal of the day"

The saying is attributed to Dr. John Harvey Kellogg and

his efforts to promote of the the original unhealthy junk food breakfast meals.

I think its working.

Kellogg's made $1.4 billion in profit in 2019 and

we are getting even sicker.

This would be a lot funnier if this conversation weren't so common—

We decided to get a dog.

"Dogs are our link to paradise.
They don't know evil or jealousy or discontent.
To sit with a dog on a hillside on a glorious afternoon
is to be back in Eden,
where doing nothing was not boring—it was peace."

Enjoy the little things in life,
for one day you'll look back and
realize they were big things.

I try to remind myself of this every day.

Today's ultra-processed junk food is carefully engineered to mimic the appearance of real, nourishing food from our past—tricking our brains into believing it's healthy.

It's not.

What other modern "foods" come to mind that pretend to be something they're not?
