In 2024 we promised this scheme. It was delayed to 2025 to allow Thames Water to finish major works, incl. new water & drainage pipes — something myself, Rhys Davies & Cllr Ricky Milstead had been lobbying for.

Over £65k match funding secured by your Labour councillors.

For 15 years, the Hythe Medical Practice has operated from temporary cabins. We knew that wasn’t good enough — so we acted.

The new GP surgery will be 4x the size, purpose-built, and fit to serve the community for decades to come.

This is the result of months of work — engaging NHS partners, pushing for the Hythe Centre to be repurposed, and making the case at Council.

We said we’d fight for better healthcare in Egham Hythe and Pooley Green — and we are.

Runnymede has 3 Conservative Cabinet members helping run the County Council.

Two now claim they “didn’t know” this was happening.

Either they weren’t told — or they weren’t paying attention.

Residents deserve better.

Why this matters:
• Makes recycling harder for busy households
• Disadvantages older & vulnerable residents
• Won’t fix traffic
• Creates postcode inequality across Surrey

The new system means:
📅 Advance 15-min slot required
🔟 Max 10 visits/month
🚫 No booking = No entry

Residents aren’t asking for barriers — they want access.

5️⃣ 📝 More details on the Tory plan:
• Trial runs: 11 Aug – 10 Nov
• Bookings open: 28 July
• You can book online, phone, or SMS (office hours only)
• 10 bookings/month per resident

4️⃣ 📣 What are we doing about it?

Labour’s @CllrRobKing is launching a formal petition via the official Surrey CC website on Monday.

We’re playing by the rules — and we’re ready to fight this properly.

3️⃣ And here’s the kicker…

Runnymede has three Conservative cabinet members on Surrey County Council.
Yet TWO claim they didn’t know this was happening.

So either:
1️⃣ They’ve lost control
or
2️⃣ They didn’t read their briefings
