Don’t you think if we played a 343- Ndiaye and Lindstrom close to a number 9 with McNeil and Patterson as wingbacks, and bringing in Keane at the back they would be better though. Don’t have the full backs or the wide players to play the system that Dyche is trying.

A 352 is a big ask and lots of change- I just think that it is madness (if Thelwell stays) to have such a big close season controlled by a marriage of convenience. Also think that a new manager/new start is a commercial shot in arm/a line in sand. You may scoff but I think that’s important.

Issue with this is that Thelwell and Dyche are not a natural pairing. A DoF who wants possession football and a 352 approach and Dyche who wants to coach something different. No hard feelings to Dyche, but in the summer, think we need to appoint a natural ‘Thelwell’ coach, rather than persisting

Think it’s about gears though isn’t it. A lot of the criticism of Dyche comes from the fact that not many are confident that they can ‘shift up’ from protecting the V/ being behind the ball. Exacerbated by our attacking players missing guilt edged chances, but I’d be in agreement with his detractors

Thing with summer is that there is a lot to do at this club. Think that they need to come in, and, if Thelwell is the man, then prepare for the manager that they want in the long term. If this manager is available (I think they will go Potter) then it makes no sense to tread water until then.

Think that Lindstrom and Ndiaye would fit. Gana and Garner would adapt to it. Still a place for Tarkowski and a number 9 there too. No reason why McNeil couldn’t adapt either. Only ones who are no-go are Mykolenko and Doucoure.

I’d consider Potter- really would. He’s not a natural fit to the current squad, but I still think that they stay up under him, and then they can also plan for next year. If Thelwell is staying, think the pair of them are a mid/long term natural fit.

Madly unprofessional, but does part of you think there is an overreaction to it? He said that he didn’t like Klopp- is it exactly behaviour that should be career ending?
