I find myself quietly despairing when nobody answers if they want anything from the shops. I say it damn near every time I go out.. Its a lifetime habit I cannot break.

The black was at 62%, a workhorse of a pen. The red was at 34%, used for highlighting amounts left on student loans and overdraft fees.

I straightened them each day, taking a strange solace in the small act of control. The blue pen had roughly 87% ink remaining. A newer purchase. Reliable. Will need to use it more so it doesn’t feel left out.
