Retro computer, console and arcade gamer. Loves 80s music.
No doubt they’ll produce about 5 copies of each and they’ll sell out instantly.

I’ve always liked Ruff and Reddy on the Spectrum. A lovely platformer. I’m not sure if each level needs a time limit, though. It’s hard enough as it is without the strict countdown to go with it.

Such a great games library, but back in the day with Spectrum and Amiga games costing so much less there was no way I could afford a NES.

It’s not a very good game but I can’t recall the last time I saw it come up for sale. I think the most I’ve paid for a Spectrum game was about £15 for Defender of the Crown. The audio tape was great but the program tape was blank 😒

I remember trying to write my own adventure back in the day. One of the choices that lead to your death was bumping into Kylie and her killing you by singing I Should be so Lucky 😂

And in modern times he blames the company’s demise on software piracy. Strange how companies such as Ultimate and Ocean continued to thrive back then.

I bought this issue of YS from the back issues section of mag just for this map!

Jungle Trouble is insanely difficult. It took me approximately 40 years to finally make it to the left hand side of the screen!

I don’t think I ever loaded the tape. I saw “cricket” and thought “it’s not for me”. I’ll have to give it a go!

Great photo!

I remember when you came out all those years back. I don’t know why some people have a problem with it. It’s just clothes. It always makes me smile seeing you with latest shoes or new outfit. I’d just wish you’d smile in the ruddy photos 😊

YS basically proclaimed Psycho Pigs UXB as the second coming. I bought it because of their hype. It wasn’t very good (nice 128k music, though)

As a fellow baldy, I’m tempted with a hair piece like that myself. Lovely and warm!

While it was sad seeing the magazine transform to a pamphlet, those tapes were a great source of older but classic games. Moon Cresta and Monty Mole for example.

Great game. I ended up buying the PCB so I could play it at home.

I’m only around 7 hours in and am really enjoying exploring. Having completed the other Xenoblade games I’m finding it difficult to warm to the characters as your player is basically a blank slate.

Very nice. How many hours in were you before the game let you pilot a Skell?
