Regulators, including the NSA, expect AI in energy and industrial systems to be secured at the OT device level and throughout data in transit. Digital twins can act as a control layer when grounded in trusted data. Altior helps operationalise this safely and at scale, across complex estates.

Military strategist Edward Luttwak believes Russia’s power has ebbed after failing to conquer Ukraine, while China’s leaders are driven to prove they can fight, raising Taiwan risks. He expects no world war but more adventurism in a messy post-nuclear era. The West is troubled/divided but resilient.

The war in Ukraine has exposed Russian military weakness, yet Europe still feels pressure on its eastern flank. Europe must accept a US step back and invest in troop mobility, surveillance, air defence / drones, logistics, command systems, positioning forces in Eastern Europe, Ukraine / the Baltics.

Trump’s geopolitical strategy is not as irrational as it looks, albeit openly disruptive. It marks a dramatic public break from obsolete norms formed in another era—one where Russia was a greater threat and Europe a shattered continent. The world has changed, and foreign policy has shifted with it.

Daniel Kahneman argued that human decisions are driven primarily by intuitive, emotional System 1 thinking rather than rational analysis. People decide first to use instinct and bias, then engage System 2 reasoning to explain and justify those choices. People buy from you when they feel understood.

LLMs are rapidly commoditising as costs fall, parity rises and access widens. The model is no longer the moat. Advantage shifts up the stack to proprietary data, agent orchestration, governance, workflow integration and human-AI operating models. Strategy is organisational design, not vendor choice.

Starmer is criticised for drift, but his strategy centres on rebuilding ties with Europe while keeping US security alignment. His self-imposed fiscal straightjacket & rising welfare costs are trapping the UK in a stagnation loop. Breaking out will depend on some luck & AI-driven productivity gains.
