Roger Haight, SJ died today. At @orbisbooks.bsky.social
we published 9 of his books, beginning with his controversial "Jesus Symbol of God." Our final meeting was last year when I presented him with a copy of his final book, "FACING RACE." Appropriately, he died on Juneteenth. RIP.

For the last 12 years my faith and vocation were sustained by the witness of Pope Francis. At @OrbisBooks we worked to promote and amplify his voice. Over the years I regularly wrote him letters of support, with no expectation of hearing back, though twice I did. This was my last.
