Years ago, I could join local groups and work for pro-Democracy candidates and issues. No one was a violent seditionist, a felon, a RW plaant, or doing recon for them..

My late parents were proud, career Civil Servants, SSA. They both started life in hard-strapped families and got the chance to build a satisfying life. They sent me and sis to college. Volunteered in the community til the end.
I'm glad they didn't live to see this era.

My late parents were proud, career Civil Servants, SSA. They both started life in hard-strapped families and got the chance to build a satisfying life. They sent me and sis to college. Volunteered in the community til the end.

I'm not convinced. Seems based on assumptions that aren't working anymore. Historic small-d groups have been meandering Right. Maybe not ready to go full-Fascist yet, but they don't fear it..
