I was already working with it for security scripting and AI integrations, so it as a natural transition for me.

Plus, Python syntax is like a cleaner version of PHP so it feels familiar, but freeing to write in Python.

Oh yeah, agreed on the bloat. Lots of the things we use larger plugins for can be built quickly and with minimal footprint by using Plugin Pal or similar tools.
