Saw Superman with @jacquiflan.bsky.social yesterday. Fantastic movie, highly recommended!

It’s important that I obsessively research the games I should buy after I finish playing the hundreds of hours worth of games in my backlog.

I've reached the halfway point of Umineko When They Cry (end of Chapter 4). Ryukishi07 continues to impress!

Ranking of Soulslikes/Metroidvanias I've played in the last year:

Lies of P > Another Crab's Treasure > Nine Sols > Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown > Jedi: Survivor > Stellar Blade

Honestly though? I loved all of them.

"Clair Obscur is showing people that turn-based combat isn't dead!"

I'm literally playing Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth and have Metaphor: ReFantazio on my shelf for afterwards...

Now that I've finished the entire Higurashi: When They Cry VNs, I don't know what to do with my life.

Oh wait, I have Umineko: When They Cry. Nevermind!

Some may have thought it was an impossible task when I purchased a bundle of 10 Higurashi: When They Cry games, but now that I'm on the final one, I can safely say I was up to the challenge.

@aggrocrabgames.bsky.social I beat Another Crab's Treasure. Fantastic game! Keep it up!

Another Crab's Treasure is shaping up to be a top-tier Soulslike! Haven't beaten it yet, but this game is basically Dark Souls x Spongebob!

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is actually really good!

I've reached that point in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown where my character is super powerful and I'm starting to steamroll bosses. Though I guess that's just my reward for exploring a lot?

It is so satisfying seeing companies I quit working for going out of business.

My biggest problem with Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is that the game just doesn't know how to be subtle. There can't ever just be quiet, contemplative moments - everything has to be a spectacle, even if the scene doesn't call for it.

"Subtitles for the deaf & hard-of-hearing"

I'm not hard of hearing, I just think having subtitles makes watching movies easier!

Just watched The Wild Robot with @jacquibutterfly.bsky.social - absolutely fantastic movie! Beautiful animation and a heartfelt story. Highly recommended!

Played “Imposter Factory”, the third (fourth?) game in the To the Moon series. It’s still amazing how these games manage to consistently get me to tear up, as well as ask important questions about the decisions we make. Highly recommended!

Today I finished reading "Spain in Our Hearts: Americans in the Spanish Civil War, 1926-1939" by Adam Hochschild. It's a fantastic history book that I feel is very relevant to our modern times. I knew nothing about the war prior to reading this book. Highly recommended!
