I took the oath 4, maybe 5 times. Once when I join the Navy; again after I was discharged and enlisted in the naval reserve; when I was a police officer for a minute; when I was sworn into the California Bar; and maybe as an undergrad when I worked for the NLRB for two semesters, under a co-op prog.

While people want to come, they won’t. No one wants to spend their tourist dollars with us, or book a room, or a convention; nor will students come to study, or people who toil in our fields, build our roads, our homes, fix our roofs, landscape our gardens, watch our kids, or clean our house.
