This paper is the sibling of another one, led by Rachel Granger at Bangor, which looked at the social return on investment of Citizens Advice on Prescription, which also reported a positive social return on investment.

We found Citizens Advice on Prescription reduced antidepressant prescriptions, mental health emergencies and A&E attendances, and mental health related GP consultations. It is likely to improve mental health and be cost-saving.

Citizens Advice on Prescription (CAP)- commissioned by NHS Liverpool to support people experiencing/risking financial insecurity. Providers suspecting patients encountering very practical barriers to their wellbeing can refer to CA who then proactively contact patients within 48 hours

It took so long to get to this stage, but such a special project for me, especially exciting to structure + curate linking health (NHS)+non-health (Citizens Advice Liverpool) data - so much to learn from dataset collected nationwide in standard format
