This article is a brilliant  satirisation of the humourless mentality one so often finds on the 'liberal' left. I don't think that I have ever seen it derided so effectively. If you are not a member already, I hope that you will join the Free Speech Union.

Having watched this interview are you satisfied that she did not say that Sir Keir Starmer could not run a bath?

I shouldn't think that EDI officers are a particularly diverse bunch. How many are Conservatives?
February 4, 2025 at 12:09 PM
What specific qualifications do you need to be an EDI officer? “EDI officer” is not a legally protected professional designation like “optometrist”.

'The OBR offers a ...forecast of a 4 per cent change in GDP in [15] years time. The idea that a £2,700 bn economy can be forecast over [15] years to such a degree of accuracy is the sort of thing that gets economic modelling a diminished reputation."'

What decisive improvements in our economy attributable to our EEC membership had taken place by 1st January 1978 after 5 years?

We don't need EDI officers. At the last school I worked at there was a lack of diversity since they had no Conservative Brexiteers on the staff. Without consulting anyone they hired me {they already knew that I was one} and the lack of diversity was thus addressed.

Sounds to me like he is like the Bangladeshi minicab driver who picked me up during the referendum campaign, saw my Vote Leave posters and said: 'You want to chuck people like me out of this country don't you?' I denied this and it turned out that he was a Brexiteer too.

Iab Pace says at the end: "Louks’ work may be remarkable, or it may be relatively average — only when the thesis is made available or published will one be able to judge." so he is not condemning what he has not read.

This is why I have always been against PR: it gives disproportionate influence to small groups. FPTP gives disproportionate influence to large groups, which is the lesser evil.
