To be fair, I wouldn’t put it past certain repressive regimes keeping a beady eye on members of their diaspora.
I don’t know for sure if it’s true, but I’ve read that Eritrea and Turkiye apparently keep tabs on their diasporas in the Netherlands.

Ik weet het niet. Maar ik vrees dat Inez Weski naïef is geweest om überhaupt de verdediging van Taghi op zich te nemen, vervolgens is ze door hem en zijn cohorten enorm onder druk gezet.
Gevoelsmatig heb ik het met haar te doen.
