I thought it was a misstep when they killed The One Who Sits Above The High Table because the implication was that he’s their ultimate arbiter and yet his death ended up being extremely inconsequential.

There’s so much disingenuousness going on with it. Interesting how it’s swept under the rug by those who utilize it, they know in the end it’s not what people want. But there’s money to be made so they just DGAF and implement it anyway.

It’s the byproduct of the commodification of everything. Why bother really ingesting and retaining information if it’s not 100% directly tied to immediate income? It’s viewed as a frivolous waste of time and energy.
