I'm overall undecided if I'll play the official release of DDFF, but I'm trying to be a little optimistic about it.

(Moreso than Ever Crisis, anyway, I'm still miffed about it focusing more on First Soldier of all things rather than, you know, a certain game that never even came out West *cough*)

Maybe this is a bit nitpicky, but I do kinda wish the game leaned more into Dissidia's mechanics and even UI style as it was for the PSP games and Opera Omnia. Right now it just feels more like a race to build EX gauge to unleash on the boss monster than the risk/reward of cashing in HP attacks.

I do like a lot of the aesthetic DDFF is going for what with the idea of "warriors of light in the real world" schtick, including character interactions and the modern designs and music. Reminds me a bit of how Opera Omnia handled it.

I didn't think I'd be into the whole competitive PvPvE thing, but I've been enjoying it now that I'm a bit more used to the controls and levelled up the skills properly.
I like using Lightning and Gaia, but the character I'm best with is, surprisingly, Terra!
