I adore his solo work. I think he became an even better songwriter after he sprung loose from the unintended trap he laid himself w Dire Straits. Folk, blues, dashes of Celtic & country are the musical roads he travels in his storytelling. ❤️

I read this essay in my email last night and this photo came to mind. Photographers see things we don’t, and this one certainly did. All the great ones do and I remember this one vividly from prior to the election-at a rally.
