Finally: this show’s villains are immensely boring. Big meat monsters, generic mook soldiers, and a creepy twink? The villains on Buffy had *style*, they had *sass*, you wanted to see them return.

Also, the Duffers should have shown some actual backbone and permanently k*lled off Hopper in S3, because his storylines in this and the previous season completely grind the show to a halt, just a slog to get through. And as a bonus, we wouldn’t have to endure more David Harbour on our screens.

SENTIMENTAL VALUE—beautiful movie, somehow Joachim Trier captures the feeling of being an adrift millennial/the family oddball/disappointment better than any contemporary filmmaker. Also what a beautiful house, lovely country to be set in, makes me wish Norway was a real place.
