Sure, the biggest news story of the past 24 hours and he's unaware of it. Saying things like this should be absolutely disqualifying for politicians because it is obviously an absolute lie. Why not just say "no comment?"

Please tell me someone follow-up and corrected her that the prosecution was done under the first Trump administration. Not going to hold my breathe; this would be the lowest bar for a journalist to leap but I don't see many even trying these days.

I wonder if this will backfire on the Republicans. It reminds people to vote for Behn and gives very good reasons for doing so. There are dozens of ways voters can figure out that the date is incorrect. One might assume that a voter motivated to get out for a special election will confirm the date.
