I spent the day in the South Carolina marshes and swamps today. The beaches are grand but the marshes and swamps are much more interesting. A couple of anhingas tending their nest and their young.

One of my favorite great white egret photographs. Naturally, I call him Narcissus. I also loved reading and studying the myth of Narcissus in college.

My wife and I spent a couple hours on the Suth Carolina's Waccamaw River this afternoon after it stopped raining. My wife carried a bag of peanuts and fed the many geese.
