I'll make sure to catch up but my last (and 38th ! ) physical screening of the festival was queer Iranian 70 minute banger The Crowd (dir Sahand Kabiri). I can only hope this gets worthwhile distribution bc it's a refresher! Queer cinema looks so fun + heavy this year

I was wiped out by the end of Morlaix (dir Jaime Rosales) but being in the room with the cast seeing their film for the first time - and the film largely consisting of their characters sitting in a cinema watching a film of themselves - was wild??

love the reviews for this like "it sure is quiet... almost *tooo* quiet" bc they are written by cartoon characters seconds from realising there's a ghost nearby.. and that's as accurate possible a description of the mood of entire film #filmsky #justwatched
