For the first time in three years, my rogue summoned his familiar as something other than an owl. We were going underwater: finally, a chance for a new form! She lasted 10 minutes before my DM killed her. So, of course, I had to print the cutest, tiniest octopus I could find to guilt trip him.

I finally had a little time to take a look at #Rive… and my first project was using it to create a mockup of the #AfterEffects timeline 😅 This is an interactive tool to demonstrate the different types of #expression loops available in AE (for an upcoming Loopy documentation website).

I've managed to find a solution to the issue of toggle BattleButtons not keeping the hover state after being clicked. Here's a little demo of that working on my script Loopy!

I also added an HTML helper page to BattleButtons to make converting vector icons from Illustrator to the required Javascript arrays as easy as copy and paste!

#AfterEffects script devs: Last week, I delved into the world of ScriptUI icons to publish BattleButtons*, a toolkit enabling easy multi-colour vector icons which are swappable and toggle-able, with optional hover states!

First demo of ChildCare, a new tool for managing layer parent/child relationships in #AfterEffects. I whipped this up quickly yesterday, after needing to organise a client's project with parented nulls, without breaking their existing animations.

This has served me pretty well for most projects for the past couple of years. Any second-level comps in an export comp get put into Components; all other comps get organised into folders under Pre-Comps.
