The person who finds the buyer for the seller is the middleman. You can’t find the buyer or an efficient price yourself (with any consistency)

Imo, something that has utility doesn’t require a middleman. It actually does/solves something or is useful on its own.

Neither bitcoin nor gold are money, just arbitrary places we’ve decided to store value. Gold got there having been sent from god, BTC from Satoshi :)
