Got a deal on some new work boots today. These really needed to retire.
I'm rough as hell on my work boots, these are a year old.

Life's rough and the world is scary.
But, let's all have a gawk at the gryfalcon I saw the weekend.
Pretty chill guy.

On Monday nights I try to clean out my freezer by tossing shit into a pan and/or air fryer.
I should try and eat a vegetable some day.

I'm typically not a fan of fireworks I do appreciate a well organized and produced display of them. (Sucker for flashy lights and pretty colours I guess.)
Anyway - photo memories reminding me of that time we stumbled upon the national firework competition. (Australia, think they won that year.)

Bit far out, but I spotted it while driving this morning.
Iceberg season a little late this year, seems to be a bit of a whopper. Moving pretty fast and likely going to be visible from Signal Hill by today or tomorrow.
Also - since when does Newfoundland get summer in early June?

So I guess by a technicality we've got the highest rate for youth vaping on earth.
We're also one of the foggiest places on earth so this all checks out.

Look at this big ol' chonky fella I met earlier the week.
My boot size is 12 for reference.
He was pretty insistent on head scratches and obviously well fed.
His name was Garry according to the tag.

Good grey foggy day beer.

I wish she'd stop doing this. We don't let her in the bathroom because the first chance she gets she's up there looking down on us in protest of not letting her into the bathroom to climb up there. These stand off's can go on for quite some time.

Tomorrow will be two weeks since my olfa knife bit me real good. Gonna have a pretty bad ass scar on my middle finger and that's kinda cooler than a knuckle tattoo.

I've been finding Northern Flicker feathers around my job site and hearing it occasionally. (He also came up on Merlin, so I knew he wasn't far.)
This afternoon while eating my lunch in my car I noticed it was on the lawn hanging out and making friends with the Starlings.

A local Newfoundland hockey legend passed away, the first to play in the NHL back in the early 60's.
Anyway - someone on the local news team is looking to spice up a story.

I acquired this thing years ago when a neighbor borrowed a few bucks and couldn't pay me back. I've only touched it once or twice in the years I've owned it.
But today I'm thinking I'm going to tune it up and see how disgusting it sounds in a Big Muff with intentions of using it on a track somehow.

I have a Nirvana shirt I was given for Christmas a few years ago and earlier today it occurred to me that Dave Grohl looks like the face on the album art for Jane Doe by Converge.

Moving into Spring with some bird watching on my mind.

My car dash is reading 19 degrees - one notch shy of 20 and it's still technically winter, in Newfoundland at that. Keeping up with that weird trend we had of only a few weeks of snow on the ground.
(My tire also needs some air and has for a long time.)

Happy #caturday morning!

Here's the funny thing about the Total Lunar Eclipse. I live right beneath that red line, so I'm expecting to look up and see something really wild.

The US Government claims nothing can be done about gun violence in schools and they want Canada to be the 51st state.
Here's a big key difference between both countries, screenshot from the local news station:
