It took quite a while to disentangle the bill and wing of this juvenile Gannet from a discarded fishing net on Dunwich Beach this afternoon.

The last 2 dragonfly surveys of Carlton Marshes have produced only the same 7 species. Diversity dropping and numbers too as autumn approaches

A dragonfly survey at Lound Lakes today produced 13 species including 3 surprisingly early Willow Emeralds, my first Small Red-eyed Damselflies of the year plus 2 male Lesser Emperors
