I had a lot of fun with this grid. I got to use EKU alum Clyde Hatter (could've used 3 more EKU alums) and Johnny Humphries, the only MLBer ever to come from my tiny hometown of Clifton Forge, Va. And I couldn't resist the irony of using Germany Schaefer in the USA column.

10. For the Royals-Yankees box, I couldn't decide if I should choose Benintendi or John Mayberry. Since Mayberry played longer for both teams, I went with Beni. That wound up being the wrong choice and it ruined my score.

2. Got to use former Eastern Kentucky University pitcher Win Ballou. Win is a great name for any player, but especially a pitcher. Speaking of names, Clyde Kluttz sounds like a character in a children's book.
