In 1959, there were 106 countries in the world. After WWII, many countries became independent. But only 1 country fell into the abyss of colonialism & it was sadly Tibet. Ever since 1959, 89 new countries have became free to bring the total countries in the world to 195.

On March 14,2008, protesters led by Tibetan monks carrying home made Tibetan flags marched through the streets of Lhasa risking imminent arrest&death. The protests coincided with a week of protests against CCP which began with demonstrations marking the anniversary of the 1959 Tibetan Uprising.
