The end of both the US Empire and the American century is made most obvious by the fact that no major political party in the country has any real vision of the future.

For my fellow accordionheads out there: I’ve been considering learning diatonic (as opposed to chromatic piano) because the way the keys are laid out in chords means you can freestyle. They are very common in traditional polka, Norteño, and Tejano genres.

i hope more than anything what people learn from this 2nd trump term is that the capitalist class are aligned and they want you to have less rights and only want you to exist to generate profit for them

Got the accordion back out. Pretty rusty, particularly with reading music. When I was in high school reading music was like a second language to me, but almost 20 years later and it’s not nearly so easy. The F-A-C-E trick helps a lot, but with bass clef I’m clueless.

Currently writing some short scenes to flesh out my Doctor Who ripoff. Set in the 31st century, “The Adventures of Caid Cambrion” follows a human who travels the universe with a stolen spacial rift device. No time travel, no regenerations, and a lot of communism.

I’ve been using HelloChinese to learn Mandarin and I’ve just added the Pleco flashcard add-on to help supplement my learning. When I learn a new word in HC, I dump it into Pleco. Here’s to hoping I can actually learn this language!
