As much as I agree with the utility of amnesty…if you are only figuring out that trump is a racist NOW… there is something wrong with you.

He has shown us just how easy it is to weaponize the justice department, how quickly our elites will stoop to bribery and patronage, and how ineffective our judiciary is at reining in any of these abuses in realtime.

The reforms contained in ROAM are only a start. We have a LOT of work to do.

Imagine if he were young enough to rule for decades, smart enough to hide his corruption… we would be in for a democratic collapse like we saw in Russia or hungary.

We are lucky.

We will survive him, but we MUST make systemic changes in response.

Just defeating him in 2026 isn’t enough.

There are real reforms needed to prevent things like how Trump has staffed the power agencies with loyalists, and how his abuse of power always goes unchecked until the a Supreme Court decision many many months later. We need to accept how bad this is so we can do a good job of fixing it.

Autocracies never last long, and I think the US will end this one at the midterms, but if we don’t accept how BADLY our system failed, we won’t have a roadmap or the will to fix the real challenges. #ROAM is only a start.

But this is important for a reason that you may not be thinking of yet: the cleanup phase, the reversal and what comes next

100%. Hyperartisanship is a winning tactic. The more they convince us to fear and hate each-other, the more we donate to campaigns and the more attention we pay. The system we created rewards it.

We have seen so many “moves out of the fascist playbook”. But this is just naked fascism. “Go indict my political foes” should trigger a gut reaction in every american. This cant be explained away.
