An announcement from the official Dream Domains Discord server -- in collaboration between RoadToDuskVT and Nebulas_NoctisVT The announcement reads as follows: With everything that’s been going on, it’s been difficult to make a decision regarding returning to streams and working on what we promised. We were fired from our job after just over a month. As such, we feel compelled to stream soon. However, it is hard to find the energy to do so, hence why we can’t put a date to coming back. With how many financial struggles we’ve already faced this year, combined with our mental health, losing our job has killed our creativity. As such, we cannot continue anymore goals from our donothons, from Doodle Truth wins and song releases to conlang showcases. Any winners are free to contact us privately for talks of compensation for your winnings. We genuinely apologise for any inconvenience or harm this may cause.

Given recent changes & Youtube's lack of transparency, we've got tips on how to support your fav content creators.

Our content has always been pretty small, but seeing multiple content creators & users voicing concerns has us worried.

Hey, everyone. We’ve been monitoring the latest updates with YouTube lately, where our VODs and conlang content have been posted. There’s a double-edged sword with some features that have been released that we’ve noticed: 1. YouTube’s “Hype” feature uplifts small creators and content. The feature potentially can boost the attention of small creators based on the retention of their audience. 2. YouTube’s “Restricted Mode” feature disproportionately censors creators by effectively shadowbanning videos based on credentials that YouTube does little to provide transparency on. Unfortunately, this feature has shadowbanned numerous content creators we know as well as everyday channels, from gamers like RTGames and Josh Strife Hayes, voice actors like ProZD and CDawgVA, to LGBTQIA2S+ essayists & news channels like Jesse Gender, the Council of Geeks, and Luxander. This mode has similar issues as the monetisation credentials for videos, such as how much cursing or violence is allowed to be eligible for income. If you want to support your favourite content creators on YouTube, be sure to do the following: 1. Interact with their content. Likes, comments, and responding to community posts tell the YouTube algorithm that who you interact with is who you want to see more of. 2. On Desktop/PC and web browser, when you hover your mouse over your profile picture, near Settings is a section called “Restricted Mode”. Make sure that is turned off so that you can see your favourite content. Restricted Mode is said to come to the YouTube app as well, so be sure to turn it off there, too. Be sure to check all creators you support on YouTube to find out what they’re doing next and how to support them. Thank y’all for your time ^.^ - Road (he/him)

We sing a lot, though not as much as we used to. It doesn't feel safe to sing most songs thanks to how copyright, trademark, & IP laws impact how we can interact with them.

Monetizing art should never have been used to gatekeep creativity.
"Pretty shitty how baseline human activities like singing, dancing, and making art got turned into skills instead of being seen as behaviors. So now it's like 'the point of doing them is to get good at them' and not 'this is a thing humans do, the way the birds sing and bees make hives". "What's sad to me about this is that I've noticed a lot of people saying they 'can't' do art, or dance, or sing. That's because it's turned into a profitable vocation, and thus has some implied hierarchy to it (i.e. there are 'master artists' and 'professional singers and dancers'), people feel shame for not 'living up to unattainable standards', when in reality, art for humans is very therapeutic and good for the soul."

RTD (RoadToDuskVT) Hiatus Due to multiple factors, such as living climate and mental health, the Terarbal System is taking an official hiatus starting 04/27/2025. The hiatus is at minimum through all of May and June, and may be subject to indefinite status at any time. We will be limiting our collaborations and focusing on the commissions we have to complete. We will still do Horror Pool and Art Jam when we can, but Art Jam appearances will be very rare as a result.
