Retired from health care, now indulging my creative side (woodworking, guitar, singing/songwriting, artistic painting) with a little golf sprinkled in. Lifelong Michigan resident. Trying to stay sane and have fun!
Admittedly I’m ignorant here, so I have to ask. How did voters elect this guy as a democrat? Was it sympathy because of his health problems? Were there no clues during his campaign that he’d be such a train wreck of a representative?

Besides avenging last year’s playoff loss to the Commanders, I’m choosing to consider yesterdays beat-down by my Lions as a big fuck-you to Trump, whose approval ratings are about equal to how many points the Commander’s scored.

Lately I’ve been paying closer attention when I watch sports on Fox and the promos they run for their other programming, which is a bunch of crap. And now they’re running Trump’s anti-fentanyl ads while he starves and incarcerates children. Could their propaganda be any more obvious or disgusting?

Ever since the Jerry Sandusky scandal, there’s no team who I hope will lose more than Penn State. No one coaching or playing for this team now had anything to do with Paterno or Sandusky, but I can’t help it. I hope this team eternally loses until they discontinue football. Sorry PSU fans.

I don’t know about you, but it seems to me that the Gov’t shutdown is a trial balloon. Trump’s vision is for there to only be government employees to serve his interests and desires and provide nothing to citizens. Collect taxes, quash political opposition, enforce racist policy. That’s it.

Has a team ever come closer to winning a world championship without doing so than the Blue Jays did last night? I doubt it, and I feel bad for all Toronto fans.

Last night my Lions benefit from micro-officiating. Were these make-up calls? The review and re-review of calls, including at the league office, is unproductive since so much of officiating is subjective. Dissecting a close play doesn’t reduce controversy and further inhibits the flow of the game.

I think a really interesting treatment during these troubling times would be a sequel to The Big Chill. I think the only cast member who has passed away is William Hurt, which could be written into a new script, and writers could also figure out a way to weave Kevin Costner into the screenplay.

Especially during these troubling times, don’t forget to just sit and pet your animal every day. It’s convenient and cheaper than therapy!

The gun control activist and DNC vice chair is targeting “asleep at the wheel” incumbents. But could his primary strategy lead to his own ousting?

Dear Canada and other Countries of the World;

Please don’t judge an entire country by its worst citizen. Most of us share your disgust.

So, the MAGA crowd is disappointed that the new Pope doesn’t endorse racism, misogyny, greed, corruption or lying…

These judges ruled against Trump. Then their families came under attack. - Reuters

This is facism 101. I’ve read a few things indicating there are some organizations being formed to protect judges and other citizens who are being harassed. I hope this is true cuz we’re gonna need them!

I’ve had it with the daily deluge of texts from the Dems asking for more money. Goddammit, DO YOUR JOBS and remove this asshole from office, then ask me for more cash. This is a pay for PERFORMANCE matter.

Traveled from Michigan to Washington DC for the rally last Saturday, encouraged by the strong turnout, toured the battleground at Manassas on Sunday, wondering if we’re headed for a second civil war.
