and on a team that loves to shoot from beyond the arc, it makes him that much more valuable. what's great is it gives them 3 guards (him, PP and D White) who can fill it up from outside but also penetrate into the paint for easy 2s. PP's development of the paint hesitation/spin/fall away is great

Agree. He seems to have found (and accepted) his role. More importantly, he is in Joe's Circle of Trust.

That's what I suspected - which begs the question why call a play with so many moving parts on the line when, on this drive, execution is everything. Maye avoided a disastrous first play, which probably would have changed the whole tenor of that drive...

Right? Inexcusable to let them inbound, bring it full court and lay it in without any attempt at stopping ball. Just a terrible defensive lapse and happens far too often.

Exactly Richard. They should be looking to push after every miss. It's pretty simple. The Magic want to muck the game up and slow it down. They play right into their hands when they walk the ball up and let the Magic set. I don't understand why they aren't pushing as much as they can.

Need to find a way to play well when Tatum goes out because it's becoming too much of an uncomfortable pattern that when Brown is leading the squad, the offense goes south and the defense becomes non-existent.

Yeah, but Buffalo DID run the ball...they just waited until the second half to do it, which cost them the game essentially. PHl will look at the film and run Saquon all night long.
