Es gibt aber derzeit sehr viele Anzeichen, dass die russ. Logistik nicht mehr nachkommt. Ob das ein Kulminationspunkt ist, kann ich nicht sagen, aber aktuell scheint mir die Orc-Maschinerie sehr abgenutzt und die Heimatfront zeigt überall Risse. Die Zeit arbeitet momentan massiv für die Ukraine!

Nothing about Russia's current oil exports is sustainable. Having to use all ice breakers and driving up the cost is great. But the losses for now accumulate in the many companies, not the state just yet. Let's hope for a cold winter

If I want to? Yes, I actually do like the country and most of the people. If T hadn't been elected, I would have done a 3 week road trip this summer with my wife.

That is coincidentally why I keep telling my fellow Europeans not to wait out Trump. Even a well meaning successor would be overstretched rebuilding the US and deal with China, let alone Europe. So best we tale care of ourselves and prepare for any eventuality

Really depends on who will be elected:
1. Left wing Trump: would prosecut but not try to fix the institutions.
2. Biden 2.0 (unlikely but possible): would try not to antagonize half the voters
3. Real reformer: would have a h7ge mountain to climb

Because like any good paternalistic autocrat, he only truely trusts family. So when someone needs to get huge sums from foreign governments and there needs to be a fig leave of plausible deniability, the Grift Twink comes out.

As a teenager I found it a fun action flick, but watching it in college, I was struck how people couldn't get the satire. But I do love it, when a movie does something smart woth the source material, unfortunately many screen writers aren't as smart as tbey think they are...

I remember when it came out, reviews in Germany where extremely negative and people even talked about banning the film, both because of the gore and Verhoeven was too subtle for many Germans, apparently. As per usual, they had to cut out a lot of the gore for TV, weirdly making it less shocking.
