I saw In Bruges first in English and later in French. It was funny in French but much funnier in English. Great dialogue and irony don’t necessarily translate well.

Thanks I will certainly read it. Have you read the series of novels by Almudena Grandes Episodios de una Guerra Interminable? I read them all and found them to be excellent.

I find with Perez-Reverte you never know what you are going to get. I found that Línea de Fuego and El Tango de la Guardia Vieja were good, whereas El Asedio was a bit ridiculous and over 700 pages. Nevertheless, I will be looking forward to reading El Problema Final

We watched the movie Monsieur Aznavour this weekend. Worth a watch if haven’t seen it already.

If you are talking Beethoven opus 130/133 I am definitely B-flat major. Opus 133 is 19th century heavy metal. I also have a fancy for
Nokia ringtones.

I suppose that it is some consolation that it was God who was responsible for the elimination of the Winnipeg Jets and not the Dallas Stars.

I live in Montreal but was born in Winnipeg and have supported the Jets since they were in the WHA. During the 15 years they didn’t exist I cheered for the Senators.

I still drink and enjoy American IPAs but I now prefer those that use primarily hops such as Centennial, Cascade, Chinook rather than those that use enormous amounts of Citra, Amarillo, Mosaic etc.

The Winnipeg Jets won again.
