At a time the world needs voices like his more than ever, he left us far too early and will be sorely missed.

The most important memory I have of these meetings was a tour through East Jerusalem during which we studied it as a space of encounters rather than borders which during the Mandate Years were still possible, at times.

The most important memory I have of these meetings was a tour through East Jerusalem during which we studied it as a space of encounters rather than borders which during the Mandate Years were still possible, at times.
He made sure that each of the meetings of the Forum of Scholars of the Palestine Mandate was a meaningful one in which we would ask difficult questions and point to uncomfortable truths.
