When a country is attacked it has the right to defend itself. If that wasn't true, then the U.S. attacking Japan, or Britain attacking Germany in WW2, would have been illegal. Gaza attacked Israel. Israel has the right to defend itself.

The U.N. added examples 🤷. The definition requires intent to destroy a religious, national, ethnic, or racial group. There were 2.2 million Gazans on 10/8/23 and approx. 3% have been killed, including Hamas terrorists. The Geneva Conv. also recognizes that civilians will be killed in lawful wars.
