The recent numerous executive orders—one after another—have caused a lot of chaos and confusion. There has been much reporting on a future executive order to dismantle the Department of Education. There is a lot of uncertainty around what such an EO would do, what is possible legislatively and executively, and what exactly the harm would be from such a decision. AAPD will host a panel discussion with Stride Policy Solutions' Laura Kaloi and students with disabilities on Thursday, March 13 from 1-2 pm ET, as we aim to provide clarity on questions related to the executive orders and their wider ramifications, especially regarding disabled people.

A reason to celebrate! A law legalizing marriage between same-sex couples has gone into effect in Thailand.
The law, passed in June 2024, makes Thailand the first country in Southeast Asia to recognize same-sex relationships.
