Can I suggest gift cards as well? Diapers, formulas, etc. can get expensive. Also, never know when they will hit a growth spurt and need new clothes.

This was the advice the reading specialist gave at my son's elementary school. If your kid is only reading kid graphic novels, then let them.

I think sound tracks were a great way to introduce you to new bands. You would buy it because you knew there were 2-3 songs on it you liked. But the you would buy it and learn about a bunch of new groups as well
