The key to enjoying a movie like "Kraven the Hunter" is to forget that it's a Marvel property that Sony made for $200M and just pretend it was produced by The Asylum for $350k. It gets much better then. Also...imagine that Russell Crowe is actually Eric Roberts in a latex fat suit.

As we prepare for St. Patrick's Day (and the cultural appropriation of my people), just keep in mind that "the snakes" St. Pat "drove out of of Ireland" weren't legless reptiles. "Snakes" is what they called pagans and other non-Christians. And by "drove out," they generally meant KILLED.

I'm not even sure the world where our dreams exist is even a thing anymore. Feels like we're ghosts...haunting a house that's been torn down to make room for a casino that'll be bankrupt in a year.

I think I'd like "Dune: Prophecy" a lot more if Denis Villeneuve's films weren't so fresh in my mind. It's adeptly-constructed. It just feels like one of those CW or Syfy shows shot in Vancouver. Like, you keep waiting for Matt Frewer to show up as an albino Fremen.

Today I put way too much time into conceptualizing a series of Taylor Sheridan porn parodies: "Yellowbone." "Laidman." "Tulsa Kink." "Special Ops: Lie-on-us." "Tail or High Water." "Those Who Wish Me Head." "Ass Reeves." "Mayor of Kink Town." It's money.

If Jim Abrahams had stopped at "Airplane!" he could've retired a legend. He didn't. He went on to make (either solo or with the Zuckers) "Police Squad!"/"The Naked Gun!," "Top Secret!", "Hot Shots!," "Ruthless People," "Big Business," "Welcome Home, Roxy Carmichael," and more.

I know the Hitler comparison is always the cautionary go-to with Trump, but truthfully, the similarities between the Marcos and the Trumps are downright eerie.

"Landman" has quickly turned into my favorite new show but the casting is 90% of the equation here. Replace Billy Bob with anybody else and it probably falls apart (and I am an admitted Taylor Sheridan fan, no matter what his political bent is).

It's simple, formulaic, and maybe a little cornball, but...it got me in the first 10 minutes of Ep 1. They told me everything I needed to know about the hero and his dream. Explained his relationships with the cast. Then, by the 15 minute mark, set up conflict with the antagonist. Solid.
