Point taken. However, our law stipulates it does not apply to mental health diagnoses, of which anorexia very much is.

Secondly, these can't be subsequently changed and reinterpreted by the courts like the Canadian law has been (the mission creep people talk about), only parliament can do that with an additional law.

There are two big distinctions to be made between the Canadian system and the proposed UK law. Firstly, our law will be much more prescriptive and limited re: the criteria for assisted dying (for example it won't include mental illness like all these cases pertain to).
