High numbers of businesses start and close every year.” A line chart shows quarterly business entires and exits, seasonally adjusted, as % of total businesses, from 2015 Q1 to 2024 Q4. The green "New businesses" line is always higher than the red "Closed businesses" line. The blue and red bars beneath annotate when Liberal or Labor were in government.
