Have a very vague memory of Junior Vasquez playing this at Sound Factory and a man and woman in Spanish flamenco-ish outfits appearing seemingly out of nowhere and people clearing space on the floor for them to dance together. But after all these years can't guarantee it wasn't a hallucination.

And one of 80s pop's mysterious disappearing acts, the other that comes to mind is John Wilson of Heaven 17.

It's odd that he was onstage playing keyboard/sampler (including the Lee Perry vocal snippets) but is omitted from the LP credits. When I listen now, strikes me that some of the noises may have been a little irritating :)

My proudest crap claim to fame is that some of the odd synth sound effects on Dub Syndicate Live at the Town & Country are the product of me staying up all night getting stoned and programming/sampling noises from Dave Harrow's Sequential Circuits Pro One. I was made up that he used some.

Only just saw it myself, got completely immersed and loved it. There's an aspect of the ending that may divide opinion, but I don't think it's intended to be taken literally.

Love the part around 41 mins in where Grandmaster Caz describes the power going out during a street party and mimics the effect it had on the record playing.

Second vote for Keith LeBlanc, King of the Beat.

Saw one of his solo shows with the @onusound.bsky.social system and Adrian Sherwood on the mixing desk at a pub venue in Islington mid-80s, extraordinary.
