Honest question, why can’t the Portland mayor order Portland police to protect Portland residents from illegal detention? Is there legal precedent preventing that? What about the Oregon/Washington governors ordering state police to stop moving the movement of detainees over State Borders?

I fell down the Acaster rabbit hole last year after, of all places, seeing him on Great British Baking Show. He was hilarious and somehow equal parts empathetic and sympathetic. I’ve since watched him in a number of other British shows, which are worth YouTubing!
