Digital journalist/editor.

My entire personality is defined by my Washington Spirit fandom. My brain has been ruined by the Internet. I once told a rec softball teammate that I’m “very Jewish.”

But that's kinda the whole point here. The instructor was correct by any standard any competent university is going to use. That standard conflicts with the worldview TPUSA and its allies hold. There's no compromise with these people.

I looked up some of the guests on Lux. I now know that Estrella Morente is, in fact, a psycho supporter of bullfighting.

Bummer, but fascinating.

I cannot think of more of a statement of purpose track than "Welcome to the Jungle." It defines the album, the band, the end-run of glam metal, the Sunset Strip sound, etc.

I'm not even a particular fan of the band. I do recognize that the song is so boldly what these things stand for.

And I've had a tough year, while this team was a wonderful diversion. When things went upside down, I was able to hyper focus on this team. Week by week, it was something to look forward to and something to celebrate in a collective blob of Audi Field's seats. What a charismatic, charming group.

The season meant a lot for me because:
• This was my first year as part of the supporters group
• I met the captain/goalie's mom (by accident)
• The first Italian woman in NWSL played for my favorite team and scored multiple masterpiece goals, allowing me to scream in Italian at her from my seats

This year's team meant more for D.C. (my adopted home) because of everything that we've dealt with this year, from the election to the National Guard to everything.

all that said, this team has reignited my love for sports. It’s been amazing
